Join the Thinking and Learning Lab

Are you interested in gaining “hands-on” research experience? It is possible for students from the Boston College community as well as from outside the community to join the Thinking and Learning Lab.

Undergraduates

The Thinking and Learning Lab recruits volunteers from the undergraduate community at Boston College to become research assistants in our lab. Undergraduate research assistants get “hands on” research experience. They are exposed to the research methodology, as well as the logistics of running a study. Students must be able to commit to at least 10 hrs/wk. Please contact Dr. Elida Laski for more information and to inquire about openings.

Masters

There are always opportunities for Masters’ students at the Lynch School of Education to become research assistants in our lab. Students will be fully immersed in the lab and will gain valuable research experience by performing a variety of duties both in developing projects and implementing them. Students must be able to commit to at least 10 hrs/wk. Many Masters’ students choose to become involved by registering for PY910 Independent Study/Reading & Research while others join the lab on a volunteer basis. Occasionally, there are paid assistantships, but first priority for these positions is given to students who already have been involved in the lab. Please send your vitae to Dr. Elida Laski for more information and to inquire about openings.
